About Me

A passionate and dedicated tutor of Maths, Statistics, Data Analytics and Quantitative Methods for Business, with eight years of teaching experience in GCSE A-Levels and Premasters. I love to motivate, inspire, and make positive difference in the lives of learners with established computing skills and diversified pedagogy, underpinned by evidenced-based teaching theories. I have successfully improved students’ performance through improved curriculum design, pedagogy, rapport and CPDs. In my leisure time, I enjoy volunteering, seeing TED Talks and listening to research podcasts.

I am interested in supporting students in their learning journey. I love to make learning easy for students becasue I believe that learning should be fun, easy and transformational, and that's why I try to teach students the very basic fundamental contents before moving to complex topics. I try to relate my lessos to real life situations to grow students' intrinsic motivation, and this increases students' engagement. I am also interested in students' progression after studies, and that's why I design authentic assessments and challenging tasks, embeded with practical activities, to enable students to improve their soft and digital skills to be able to survive in the competitive job market.

I have strong background in Mathematics, Chemistry and Statistics. I have an A levels qualification in Physics-Chemistry, a degrees in Chemical Engineering, a masters degree in Chemical Engineering and a masters degree in Computing (Big Data Analytics). Oasis Academy (Bristol, UK) where I taught Mathematics
UWE Bristol International College (Bristol, UK) where I taught Mathematics, A levels Mathematics, Statistics and Quantitative Methods fo Business.

My teaching practice is shaped by institutional, sector and global frameworks. These frameworks inform my practice of using inclusive curriculum designs like constructive alignment, Universal Design for Learning framework, and the principles of Richard Mayer’s Theory of Multimedia Learning that makes my lesson plans, lesson delivery, and assessments successful with positive students learning experience. My teaching approach is student-centred, and I establish rapport with my students, which helps me to maintain good and effective working relationship with them and properly manage behaviours to deliver productive lessons. I design my lessons to give students opportunities to complete challenging tasks, autonomously and in groups, to improve their engagement, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. I differentiate my lessons to meet the needs of my diverse learners, and I arrange one-to-one, and small group support sessions to support less able learners. To keep students engaged during lessons, I continuous administer formative assessments with consistent feedback, and I usually have them provide their answers through interactive tools like Padlet, Microsoft Teams, mentimeter etc. My ability to incorporate technology in the design and delivery of engaging and authentic lessons and assessment using evidence-based teaching theories enable me to make greater positive impacts on students’ academic performance.
