I had lessons with Dr Ildiko Sengei to help me prepare for university applications. I am applying to Cambridge, amongst others. Ildiko helped me to prepare for the written assessment and with interview practise. Ildiko always prepared thoroughly for our sessions, so we made excellent use of our time together. She also suggests lots of prep material, articles as well as books. She is super approachable and very supportive. Working with Ildiko has helped me to improve my work and also boosted my confidence.

Talking through progress in last month - have edited 5 chapters and "lost" 15,000 words. This follows a directive from my research supervisors to 1. Edit and 2. Send all 5 chapters to them by mid December. Talking through the process with Dr. Steve. Asking grammatical questions such as indenting and the protocol, headings and the protocol. Preparing for the future in our work together - negotiating the marking of the draft conclusion once it is written (post the sending of 5 chapters to supervisors). Will send first draft of conclusion by January to Dr Steve two weeks before our January meeting. Updating on my positionality re the viva and dates for it. Discussing spending our sessions as of February 2025 as mini vivas for the ensuing months post end of January. Discussing the structure of the conclusion and what goes where.
