Talking through progress in last month - have edited 5 chapters and "lost" 15,000 words. This follows a directive from my research supervisors to 1. Edit and 2. Send all 5 chapters to them by mid December. Talking through the process with Dr. Steve. Asking grammatical questions such as indenting and the protocol, headings and the protocol. Preparing for the future in our work together - negotiating the marking of the draft conclusion once it is written (post the sending of 5 chapters to supervisors). Will send first draft of conclusion by January to Dr Steve two weeks before our January meeting. Updating on my positionality re the viva and dates for it. Discussing spending our sessions as of February 2025 as mini vivas for the ensuing months post end of January. Discussing the structure of the conclusion and what goes where. The importance of The Lampton Worm to my process - an' it grew, an' it grew, an' it grew, an' it grew, an' it grew to an aaful size, t'ad geet big teeth and geet big nose and geet big goggly eyes...

I found that Siddharth is very knowledgable about all my topics in maths that I've struggled in (for reference I am a second year computer science student). He is able to explain it to me and also has questions available on his side which I can use to learn. On top of that he is very flexible in his timings so I've found it has never been an issue trying to set a class with him.

We really dived into the homework questions, ensuring that I am fully confident with them. Elasticity of demand was the main focus of the lesson and I have a much better understanding of the concept and how to apply it to problem questions. We just need to discuss questions 5 &6, relating to partial differentiation, but as always- Ian ensures that I am fully confident in a section, before progressing. He truly is THE BEST!

Easy to understand way of teaching lessons, which makes grasping topics your new to or worried about much quicker to handle.

I found it really helpful that explanations were repeated several times when describing a phenomenon. The explanations were detailed and explained really clearly. Overall this helped clear up a lot of confusion for me and I really appreciate it.

Jacob was extremely helpful and supportive when guiding me through my IB English oral. He maintained an enthusiastic attitude to our lessons, which relieved so much of the stress around the process. I now feel confident to finish my preparations alone. Thank you Jacob!
