About Me
My passion is sport where I enjoy playing football and rugby. I also run regularly and am an avid follower of Aston Villa.
I also enjoy reading about French and German current affairs.

I have taught for over 14 years in state and independent schools. I have been Head of MFL as well as Head of French and German. I have taught French and German to A Level and have taught AQA and EdexcelGCSE and iGCSE

Phil is an outstanding tutor. He understands the syllabus really well, so can identify what skills are needed in the different papers to maximise marks and has worked with me to see where my weaknesses are so we know where to focus. He sets me homework each week, which is helpful, but doesn’t overload me. He prepares well for each lesson and his lessons are well structured and he maximises the time we have together. He’s significantly improved my confidence in my speaking, so I’m not scared to try where previously I was worried I’d make mistakes. He makes the lessons enjoyable and uses games to help teach. I would definitely recommend him and am thankful that he’s made German easier for me. My results have improved by one grade already and I’m confident it will continue to do so.
