Originally from Merseyside, I'm a recent graduate from the MPhil programme in Economics at the University of Oxford. During my studies, I focussed on mathematical economics, especially microeconomic theory, and Public Policy.
As part of this, I took modules in the maths department, studying Advanced Linear Algebra and Mathematical Analysis, as well as various other mathematics during the course of my studies.
I frequently tutor students at both an Undergraduate level and for competitions or university applications. I am very familiar helping with all parts of Undergraduate Economics, Mathematics for Economics, and Foundation/First Year Undergraduate Mathematics.
I have coached numerous students in Mathematics and Economics. In particular, I have extensive experience of university aptitude tests, both as a test-taker and a tutor, including MAT, GRE, TMUA, and TSA.
I have also taught Economics, including for prestigious essay prizes, and undergraduate macroeconomics, microeconomics, and econometrics. I write extensively myself academically, for think tanks, and for university publications on topics in politics and economics, so will be able to help students with writing style, content, and essay technique.
I teach predominantly by asking questions, breaking down questions for you into manageable chunks so that you are able to work them out, piece-by-piece, yourself. I appreciate the stress related to exams, being a student myself, and am also very prepared to help you deal with that, plan your studying, and achieve academic success
