About Me

I am an exceptional academic with over ten years of experience in the education sector and a comprehensive insight into academic operations. I have empowered students and several research staff and created positive changes in three Academic institutions. I am committed to supporting the personal and educational growth of students, notwithstanding their background, limitations or challenges.

Tutor Experience

My teaching experiences include serving as a tutor at Keele University (KU), Nnamdi Azikiwe University (NAU) and as a laboratory demonstrator at KU. My career spans more than a decade in academia and research, with a comprehensive understanding of education operations. My career trajectory also encompasses over a decade of teaching, preparing me to support student satisfaction across various institutional capacities, including laboratory support and teaching.

My responsibilities have included teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate curricula, supervising student projects at NAU, and co-supervising a master’s project at the LSHTM. I have about 4 years of experience as a Laboratory Demonstrator on biomedical modules at KU, where I contributed to the delivery of four foundation year modules and a college engagement laboratory practical, such as Sex and Survival, Biodiversity, Ecology and Environment. At NAU, I employed various modern pedagogical methods to meet students` educational needs and increase their engagement. These included flipped learning, journal clubs, group projects, seminars, scaffolding, and the use of locally relevant examples to clarify complex concepts. At NAU, I offered relevant opportunities and guidance to all students to support their academic development. I utilised inclusive teaching and learning practices, which involved acknowledging that students` prior learning experiences and knowledge can influence their expectations regarding engagement and outcomes in their current education.
