About Me
I am an enthusiastic and dedicated individual with a strong passion for academia. Having excelled in GCSE and A-levels (achieving 11 A-stars at GCSE, and 4 A-stars at A-level), I was accepted to study Medicine at the University of Oxford. Upon completion of my BA exams (3rd year), I graduated with a 1st class BA in Medical Sciences (ranking in the top 10% of my cohort). I am now in my 5th year of studies, working towards my BM BCh and future practice as a doctor.
Outside of academia, I am a very keen sportsperson; I have captained the Oxford University 1st Football Team in the 2022-2023 season, and also represent the 1st University rugby team. I also enjoy running, golf, and cricket. My dedication to sports has been acknowledged by St Catherine's College, Oxford through the prestigious Stuart Crag Award.
As a tutor, I hope to inspire and guide students on their educational journeys. I believe in fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment that enables students to excel academically.
Tutor Experience
Since beginning as a private academic tutor in 2020, I have amassed a wealth of tutoring experience. My journey as an educator has been marked by a commitment to fostering a dynamic and engaging learning environment. Throughout this period, I have had the privilege of working with a diverse group of students, each with unique learning styles and academic needs.
My teaching philosophy revolves around tailoring my approach to cater to the individual strengths and challenges of each student. I believe in creating a supportive and inclusive space where students feel empowered to ask questions, express their thoughts, and actively participate in their own learning journey.
Throughout my tutoring career alongside my own academic journey, I have covered a wide range of subjects; I primarily have tutored GCSE and A-level Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics, however also have experience tutoring GCSE business studies, and physical education. I also have plenty of experience in Medicine/Oxbridge mock interview preparation and BMAT/UCAT preparation.
Throughout these subjects, I take pride in adapting my instructional methods to suit the specific requirements of each subject area and the learning preferences of my students. Whether it's clarifying complex concepts, providing additional practice materials, or offering guidance on effective study strategies, I am dedicated to helping my students not only grasp the material at hand but also develop critical thinking skills that extend beyond the classroom.
