About Me
I recently graduated from the University of Oxford with a PhD in Modern Languages after having studied in France, Germany and Scotland. I am passionate about teaching and learning foreign languages.
Tutor Experience
I have been a teacher for seven years now and I am used to teaching both online and in person. At the University of Oxford, I was a tutor for undergraduate students studying French and German. I used inclusive teaching methods and encouraged my students' to use their creativity in order to make progress. For instance, I have co-published a translation of a German short story made with some of my students. I believe that the best learning happens when the student follows their personal interests which I strive to integrate into my teaching: we talk about their hobbies and center of interest to make them feel confident in their language skills.
I have also helped numerous students with essay writing. Learning how to express yourself in writing and speech is an essential skill to acquire and I help students to do so with regular feedback and targeted exercises.
