Online Chemistry Tutor Nicoleta

I came to Oxford in 2015 as an undergraduate chemistry student, then pursued a PhD in the same subject. I have been passionate about teaching since the very beginning of my academic life, and I embraced opportunities to teach English lessons and to help high-school students through their university admission process. As I advanced in my academic career, I gradually took on bigger responsibilities. I became a demonstrator in the teaching labs, a tutor for undergraduate chemists and biochemists, eventually designing and delivering whole courses for Oxford summer schools. I love working with students and I find it highly motivating to help them progress and achieve their goals.

My approach is to build knowledge from the bottom up. Chemistry shouldn't be a memory game; instead, I love breaking down big topics into concepts that are easy to understand. I like to encourage my students to develop their logic and critical thinking, and to build skills they can use throughout the rest of their academic journey.
