I am Dr. Mona Mortazian, a Senior Lecturer in Economics with a demonstrated history of working in higher education both in the UK and internationally. I hold a PhD in Economics and Finance from Brunel University London, and an MSc in International Business Economics from City University London. My academic journey is complemented by practical experience in finance roles across various industries.

Over the past decade, I have dedicated myself to nurturing minds in the fields of economics and finance. I currently oversee the coordination and strategic planning of several undergraduate and postgraduate courses, and supervise PhD candidates, integrating cutting-edge research with comprehensive economic theories to foster a learning environment that encourages both academic and practical understanding.

As a committed researcher, I've contributed to notable publications in financial markets, aiming to bridge the gap between theoretical finance and real-world applications. I'm fluent in English and Persian, and I possess a working knowledge of Spanish, enhancing my ability to communicate complex concepts to a diverse student body. My approach to teaching is rooted in a desire to inspire and empower students, equipping them with the tools they need to succeed in the competitive field of economics and finance.
