I've been teaching for over 20 years. I've taught in 4 different countries, teaching in many fields. From English as a second language, to History, Design Technology and Visual Arts. Over my career I have focused on literacy and specifically writing essays and examination answers. I believe that the use of scaffolded structures with interesting and creative use of language afford the best opportunity to succeed in any assessed writing task. I've taught in dirt floor classrooms in the Pacific Islands, private schools in Japan and both public and private high schools. This has given me many amazing experiences and allowed me to meet a lot of amazing people.
