About Me

I am a 30 years old theoretical physicist based in Lisbon, where I am currently pursuing my research activity in Quantum Physics.

I lived in Italy until the age of 26, and I have been based in Lisbon for the past three and a half years. I speak Italian, English, and Portuguese fluently. I place great importance on building a strong and positive relationship with my students, as I believe that a good human connection plays a fundamental role in academic growth and learning.

Alongside my research, I teach as a professor in several undergraduate courses. I also have experience teaching at high school level, and I focus on helping students build a clear, rigorous, and intuitive understanding of mathematics and physics.

Tutor Experience

I am currently teaching at university in Lisbon at Instituto Superior Técnico, supporting undergraduate courses in core areas of physics.
I have taught mathematics and physics in Italy at high school level as a teacher, gaining solid experience in classroom instruction and curriculum delivery.
In addition, I have several years of one-to-one tutoring experience, particularly with the Cambridge and Pearson Edexcel curriculum, helping students achieve strong academic results while building a deep understanding of the material.

I strongly believe that effective learning in mathematics and physics comes from active engagement rather than passive listening. For this reason, my lessons are highly interactive.
I work through problems together with the student, guiding them step by step and encouraging them to think independently and develop their own reasoning.
My goal is not to replicate traditional front-style lectures—these are already provided by schools and universities—but to create a dynamic learning process where students actively participate, ask questions, and build a deeper, more intuitive understanding of the material.

My teaching is aimed at a wide range of students, from complete beginners who are approaching mathematics and physics for the first time, to more advanced students who already have a solid foundation and want to further improve and deepen their understanding.
I am comfortable adapting my approach to different levels, whether the goal is to build core concepts step by step, overcome specific difficulties, or refine problem-solving skills and achieve a more rigorous and advanced mastery of the subject.

Topic Expertise

I have extensive experience teaching mathematics and physics at high school level, including:

1) Cambridge international curriculum
2) Pearson Edexcel curriculum
3) Italian high school curriculum
4) Undergraduate Physics and Mathematics

I cover a wide range of topics, from foundational algebra and geometry to advanced calculus, mechanics, and electromagnetism, preparing students both for exams and for a deeper conceptual understanding of the subjects.

I have teaching experience at undergraduate level and offer tutoring across the core areas of a Physics or Engineering degree. This includes:

Linear Algebra
Differential Equations,
Multivariable Calculus,
Complex Analysis,
Fourier Analysis,
Probability and Statistics;

Classical Mechanics,
Electromagnetism,
Thermodynamics,
Special Relativity,
Quantum Mechanics.
