About Me
I gained my English PhD from the University of Cambridge in 2005 and I have been teaching English literature ever since. I am also an active researcher in the field of eighteenth-century and Romantic period literature with several publications, including a book and articles in prestigious scholarly journals to my name. I love teaching, reading and writing about literature.
I tutor secondary English and English literature, including 13+, 16+, IB, GCSE / IGCSE and A-Level. I also help with BA, MA/MPhil, MRes and PhD dissertations, assignments, personal statements, applications and research proposals in English literature. While my expertise lies in the field of English studies, I have tutored PGCE, nursing, psychology and business postgraduate students with their written assignments too.

I'm a full-time, high-level professional English tutor with over 15 years of experience across schools, universities, and private education. I hold a PhD in English Literature from the University of Cambridge, where I also taught and supervised undergraduate students. I'm a qualified secondary English teacher (QTS), an examiner for a major UK exam board, and have delivered over 250 lessons through Spires, supporting students worldwide.
