About Me
I’m a passionate and dedicated tutor with a strong academic background in Biochemistry. I hold a Bachelor of Medical Science Honours degree with distinction from the University of Cape Town (UCT) and am currently pursuing an MSc Med specializing in Chemical Biology. Growing up in South Africa, I had the privilege of competing at an international level and achieving top results in my IGCSE exams, coming first nationwide across 8 subjects, including Biology. These experiences, both academic and competitive, have shaped my approach to tutoring, where I combine a deep love of science with a commitment to helping students thrive.
Beyond academics, I’ve always had a deep connection to the outdoors, inspired by the incredible natural beauty of South Africa. Whether it’s trail running through forests, surfing along the coastline, or rowing on the water, being in nature fuels me and keeps me balanced. I’ve been lucky to explore some of the most breathtaking landscapes—from waterfalls and mountains to vast, open trails—and it’s this same spirit of exploration and curiosity that I bring into my teaching.
With a blend of research expertise and years of tutoring experience, I’m all about helping students build confidence, master challenging material, and feel empowered in their studies. I believe success isn’t just about exams—it’s about growing as a person, and I’m here to support students every step of the way.
Tutor Experience
I have four years of online tutoring experience in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics. With a strong academic background that includes a degree in Biochemistry and Applied Statistics, as well as my current pursuit of an MSc in Chemical Biology, I am passionate about helping students achieve their academic goals while mastering the material.
I have been tutoring online for four years, working with students from the UK and UAE across various exam boards, including IGCSE, GCSE, and A Levels. My sessions are tailored to each student’s unique needs, breaking down complex topics into clear, manageable steps. My goal is to help students gain a deep understanding of the material while building confidence in answering exam questions to achieve the highest marks. I emphasise answering in a way that aligns perfectly with what examiners are looking for, ensuring students maximise their results.
Over my tutoring career, I’ve guided many students to improve by at least two grades. I help them develop effective exam strategies, including structuring answers correctly, tackling challenging questions, and mastering problem-solving skills. Biology has always been a subject I excel in, as shown when I was awarded the top IGCSE Biology result in South Africa. I tutor IGCSE, GCSE, and A-Level Biology, helping students master core topics like cell biology, genetics, ecology, and physiology. My students not only gain a thorough understanding of the material but also build the confidence to approach challenging exam questions.

CHEMISTRY
With a Biochemistry degree and MSc research in Chemical Biology, I bring academic expertise and real-world applications to Chemistry tutoring.
