I'm Ali, a finance researcher and educator based in Madrid with a PhD in Finance and over 350 hours of university-level teaching experience across Tunisia and Spain.
I've taught students from first-year undergraduates to Master's level in subjects ranging from financial accounting and portfolio management to advanced financial modeling and derivatives. My teaching style focuses on making quantitative concepts click — I use real data, practical examples, and step-by-step problem solving rather than abstract theory.
Beyond teaching, I work as a quantitative researcher and data scientist in the financial industry, which means I can help students not just pass their exams but actually understand how these tools are used in practice. Whether it's building a portfolio model in Excel, running a regression in Python, coding in R, or understanding GARCH volatility models for a dissertation, I bring both the academic depth and the hands-on experience.
I'm fluent in French, English, and Arabic, with intermediate Spanish — so I can tutor comfortably in multiple languages.
What I enjoy most is watching someone go from "I don't get this at all" to "oh, that actually makes sense." That moment is why I teach.
