I’ve always been drawn to people-focused work and opportunities to support others. I enjoy learning about how the world works, especially through psychology, current affairs and human stories, and I love good conversations that challenge my thinking. Outside of work I’m happiest spending time with family and friends, hosting game nights, discovering new cafés, reading, and cooking comforting food. I try to bring warmth, patience and a sense of humour to everything I do, whether that’s in my professional life or day-to-day at home.
I am a student-centred tutor with over 10 years’ classroom experience teaching Psychology and more than 20 years of private tutoring across primary and secondary school in a wide range of subjects. I have taught in international and UK-curriculum schools in several countries, working with students from Upper Primary through to GCSE/IGCSE, A-Level, and University, and I have supervised research projects under EPQ and AP Seminar and Research, helping students design, structure and write extended essays that achieve top grades. My practitioner experience in Clinical Psychology has also been an added asset.
My approach is calm, structured and evidence-based. I start by identifying each student’s current level and learning style, then break complex ideas into clear, manageable steps. I focus on building confidence and core skills, especially exam technique, critical thinking and clear written expression, so that students don’t just memorise content, but genuinely understand and can apply it. I draw on both academic and real-world perspectives to make lessons relevant and engaging. Above all, I aim to be a confidence driver and skill builder, creating a supportive environment where students feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes and grow.
I tutor Psychology from upper secondary to pre-university across AQA, Edexcel, CIE/CAIE, OCR, and AP. I can also aid with EPQ, AP Seminar and Research and university level Psychology courses.
I cover all core syllabus content (e.g. research methods, biopsychology, memory, psychopathology, clinical psychology and social influence in Psychology, and support students with GCSE/IGCSE, A-level/International A-level and AP exam preparation.
My focus is on clear explanations, strong exam technique, data-handling and essay/FRQ skills, using past papers and targeted revision to build confidence and secure top grades.
