I have worked in Media and Film education since 1996 and have been freelance since 2011. Obviously passionate about education I also embrace music, current affairs, film and Cricket as some of my key interests. UCAS preparation
Preparation for university interview
Rob has been outstanding in his teaching and support (A-Level Film Studies) and I only wish we had discovered him sooner. Friendly, personable, professional and extremely knowledgable. 100% recommend.
One of the most helpful lessons I have had with a tutor, was extremely productive, thank you!
Rob helped tutor my son Charlie mainly at weekends during when he was studying Media Studies at A Level. Rob helped prepare Charlie for his exams not only with regards to subject matter but also from a psychological point of view. Charlie is severely dyslexic and therefore required help with correctly constructing and writing well thought out essays and Rob played instrumental part in Charlie’s achievement with this. Rob’s enthusiasm, infectious passion for the subject he was teaching and sense of humour boosted Charlie’s confidence and prepared him mentally for the challenge of taking his A Level in Media Studies. It was a joy to have Rob teach Charlie who, thanks to Rob, embraced his subject and achieved the grade necessary for him to go on to university in Manchester where he is studying Media and Communication (Mother).
Rob tutored my son Ben right up until lockdown in March 2020 and continued to provide support online for his CIE A Level Media Studies. Rob was brilliant in getting the best out of Ben and also helped him prepare his (successful) UCAS application. I would not hesitate to recommend him for his subject knowledge, enthusiasm and perseverance. His approach is very student centred (Parent).
Rob private tutored my daughter Helena and was instrumental in her achieving success in Eduqas A Level Film Studies. His commitment, sometimes over and beyond his tutoring hours enabled Helena to fully understand course concepts that we both struggled with! Rob is a very good tutor and has extended skills of knowing the person and responding to the needs of that individual. I would recommend (Father).
