About Me

I am a PhD-qualified Materials Engineer and university educator based at Swansea University. I help students with Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Electrochemistry and Dissertation Support. My teaching style is calm, patient and step-by-step. I focus on finding where a student is stuck, explaining the topic clearly, and building confidence through guided examples and problem-solving. My aim is simple: to help students understand the subject properly, improve their confidence, and become more independent in their learning.

Tutor Experience

I have supported university students through tutorials, problem-solving workshops, coursework feedback, laboratory teaching and one-to-one academic mentoring. At Swansea University, I taught Year 2 Engineering Fluid Mechanics and helped students with exam revision, modelling, applied physics and engineering problem-solving. I also mentor MSc and PhD students with research planning, data analysis, scientific writing and dissertation preparation. My lessons are clear, structured and practical, using diagrams and worked examples to make difficult topics easier to understand.

Topic Expertise

* Chemical Engineering: thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, applied physics, modelling and problem-solving
* Chemistry & Materials Science: physical chemistry, structure-property relationships, characterisation, nanomaterials, battery materials and sustainable materials
* Dissertation Support: research planning, methodology, literature review structure, data interpretation and scientific writing
