I grew up in a small village in Croatia (less than 500 people). I attended primary school in a nearby city. Since I always loved mathematics, I wanted to attend one particular high-school with a very strong program in mathematics, that is located in our capital city - Zagreb. Because of that, I moved away from my parents when I was 15, and started living in a dormitory. After high-school, I started studying mathematics at the University of Zagreb. That is where I got my BSc, MSc, and PhD degree. I have spent one year in Austria (Graz) as a postdoctoral researcher, and then I returned to Croatia, and became an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at the University of Zagreb.
I started tutoring when I was 15 years old. That is when I started living in a dormitory, away from my parents place, and I wanted to earn some extra money. I went to state competitions in mathematics already in primary school, so I had credibility. Since then, I have been tutoring constantly. Beside private tutoring, when I was a student, I was a helping assistant at several courses where my job was to help younger students if they had problems. After I received my Masters degree in mathematics, I started working as a Research and Teaching Assistant, which means I started giving classroom lectures for (up to) 100 students. But I also had my office hours, so I continued to brush my 1:1 tutoring skills. In the meantime, I got a PhD in mathematics, and became an Assistant Professor at the University of Zagreb, but I still do a lot of tutoring, privately, and as a part of my job.
I have tutored most of the mathematics curriculum with the emphasis on Differential and Integral Calculus, Probability theory, and Statistics. Probability is my favourite part of mathematics, and my PhD thesis was in the realm of probability theory.
Since I studied mathematics, and now I work as an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at the University of Zagreb, I constantly teach (and also research) topics from a relatively wide range.
However, when it comes to tutoring, I have most experience in Probability, Differential and Integral Calculus, and Statistics. Regarding my research, my main topic is Probability theory.
