About Me
Why am I different? I am a qualified UK history teacher. I teach exclusively online. As such, I am able to focus fully on each student. I will plan your lessons around your individual requirements. I have experience both home schooling and as a revision tutor online. I am flexible and open to changes in your schedule. My most noteworthy professional achievement was assuming the lead role at my last school, establishing an new GCSE and A-Level History courses. As such, I feel confident shouldering the full responsibility of guiding students through their examinations. In addition to this, I am a GCSE examiner. Another way to demonstrate both my professionalism and flexibility, is that I have taught subjects outside my degree speciality. These have included GCSE Religious Education, Geography and A-Level Philosophy.
Tutor Experience
I am here to help you! Teaching History one-to-one is my job. I can teach GCSE, IGCSE, A-LEVEL and IB. I can provide both homeschooling and revision lessons. As trained GCSE examiner, I have an up-to-date perspective of examination board’s expectations. Understanding the expectations of the examination board has been my most valuable tool when guiding students through content, structuring answers and ultimately the revision process. I have easy access to a wide range of online resources to support this. So you need only bring yourself.
I use a simple yet effective approach to understanding historical sources and points of view. I aim to help students fully understand what is being asked of them by the examination. I have taught across a range of examination boards including IB, OCR, Edexcel and WJEC. I have experience working as a private tutor and teacher for GCSE, IGCSE and A-Level students in the classroom and online. I have successfully implemented after-school revision classes at every school I have worked at, and have a history of success with results.
Topic Expertise
As a teacher and tutor of 20 years, I have taught a very broad range of topics at A-Level, iGCSE and GCSE. I have easy access to online resources at no extra cost to my clients.
