After graduating from the University of Oxford in 2020 with a BA English Language and Literature degree, I have accumulated over 400 hours experience as an English and Drama tutor in varying levels including, but not limited to, 11+, GCSEs, A-Levels, IB and SATs. Using my experience as a professional drama teacher (2015-2017) and as a student myself I endeavour to help students find motivation in their subjects again in order to find excellence. Since graduation, I have also undertaken the top rated TESOL qualification with Trinity College London and have since become a top rated tutor in teaching English as a Secondary Language. Not only did I spend 3 months in Spain and 2 months in Bali, Indonesia teaching English in schools but I have also since worked within and outwith the Profs as a private TESOL and ESOL tutor to both adults and young people with great success. Furthermore, after co-founding 'The Clydeside Project' - a charity that mentors Scottish state-school students through the Oxbridge admissions process I have significant experience tutoring students in Oxbridge admissions prep. Lastly, outwith teaching I work as a professional actress. Much of my work is dedicated to working with young people through theatre and therefore, I have experience working in schools and managing young people as a frequent TIE performer.
As a top rated tutor with over 400 hours experience I have significant knowledge of and experience with a number of levels and exam boards including, but not limited to, AQA, Edexcel, WJEC, CIAE and IB. Most recently a student has informed me how they achieved an A after a long year of achieving C’s after their work with me! I have also now worked with the Profs with a number of University students including but not limited to PHD students - offering support and guidance on ELT and English Lang and Lit courses. As an Oxbridge graduate and co-founder of an admissions tutoring charity, I have significant experience tutoring students through the Oxbridge admissions process. As a Trinity Cert qualified TESOL tutor I have worked with a number of international students both online and in person through the IGCSES and other international tests such as SATS, MAP, IELTs etc. I, also, have experience and success helping students navigate the admissions process for international schools both abroad and in the UK. As a general ESOL/TESOL tutor I have developed long term working relationships with my clients who appreciate the frequent support I am able to offer them in improving their English skills. This has been informed by my experience both working in schools abroad and on language immersion camps. Furthermore, I currently work in person at a refugee centre weekly offering support to ESOL learners so I have experience working with all levels of English!
I have significant experience working with A- Level and GCSE English language and literature students - working with all boards including but not exclusive to AQA, OCR, Edexcel. My experience with the TESOL means I have significant experience working with international students and with international boards such as the IB courses, CIE and IGCSE. I have significant experience as a TESOL tutor working with young children and adults - with adults I have tutored them through IELTS and the GMAT to name a few.
