About Me
I am a passionate maths teacher. I have loved maths from as young as when I was in nursery. This passion ignites me into helping my students achieve their maximum potential. Whether it’s higher students wanting that grade 9 or foundation students just trying to grasp their basics to help them navigate adult life.
I have 2 young girls who have taught me patience! I love to cook!
Coming from a big family I have a bubbly personality and able to get on with all types of personalities. I have always helped family members and friends with their maths from a young age. I just simply love maths and therefore love to teach maths!
Tutor Experience
I have been teaching mathematics for over 10 years. I was at my last high school for 8 years teaching GCSE and A Level Mathematics . This includes the new spec for grade 1-9 system. I have worked with high ability students and many of them achieved a grade 9. Mathematical reasoning, fluency and problem solving are at the forefront of my lessons as this is what the new GCSE spec entails. I have worked closely with foundation grade students enabling them to grasp skills that will help them navigate through adult life.
I am a graduate from Queen Mary University with a Bachelors Honours degree in Economics and Finance . I have studied Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Accounting for my A Levels. I have always loved maths from a very young age and this passion has not left me. It is this passion that drives me to help others achieve the best they can and more in their education. I have worked with students with special educational needs as well as looked after children. I have also taught students who are home schooled.
Topic Expertise
Edexcel/AQA/OCR GCSE Mathematics Papers 1,2 and 3. All topics. Favourite has to be algebra and number.
