Online English Language Tutor Lawrence

I'm a highly experienced tutor and study skills coach. I specialise in preparing students for core skills exams - English and Maths GCSE, as well as high level language classes.

On average, my students achieve a two grade improvement in their results over one academic year. Many students and parents have described the tutorials as life changing, not only for the academic improvement, but also due to the fact I place great emphasis on getting students to think in depth about the subjects and their future beyond the academic setting.

My unique selling point as a tutor I believe are the experiences that I bring to the table outside of academia. Aside from being an an academic scholar at Oxford and author of a textbook and online course, I also have a background in professional sport, specifically football. In fact, I am likely the only tutor anywhere in the world who has played in the FA youth Cup, the reserves of a premier league team, the national youth set-up as well as coaching - and then gone on to become an academic (not sport) scholar at Oxford. I believe these experiences give me a very different perspective on the world and youth development to most people working in the education sector.

This well-rounded profile and appreciation of my role as a coach, not just a tutor, is something that students have responded very well to over the years which is why my retention rate with new students is extremely high.
