Learning and teaching languages is one of my greatest passions. I have a BA from University of Cambridge in Modern Languages and Education, and an MPhil from the same university in Film Studies. After working as a Reuters news reporter for almost two years, I moved on to pursue a law conversion course at the University of Law.
I started teaching six years ago as a part-time job while studying at university. As a student, I always struggled to find teachers who would give me tasks that were intellectually demanding, tailored to my interests and the requirements of the curriculum. When I teach, I want to create classes that I would have enjoyed myself while studying at school: focused on both the individual needs of my pupils and exam performance. I try to instil in my students a belief that critical thinking coupled with in-depth research are key to success at school.
I have experience teaching primary school, secondary school, and adult students. I offer classes in French, Spanish, English Literature, English as a Foreign Language, IELTS, TEFL, SAT (writing and reading), FCE, CAE, CPE preparation, Extended Essay editing, academic writing, and Oxbridge applications coaching.
