I enjoy reading, writing, learning languages, and spending time with students who are equally passionate about their study topics!
Since completing my IB in 2019 with 44 points, I have been enjoying tutoring both IB Economics and History, covering various topics and assisting tens of students with their IAs and EEs.
In the 5+ years of my tutoring experience, I have taught students from different time zones, from Bermuda to Australia, always happy to get up early or stay up late to help them revise for an upcoming exam. I provide both short-term and long-term assistance. Whether you are a perfectionist wanting a confident 7 in your HL, or you just want to finish that one assignment, I am here to help. My lessons are always tailored to what my student needs and I can offer plenty of revision materials supporting the topics we cover.
I have experience with helping students structure and formulate essays. I am ready to provide feedback on any pieces that you may need to submit for the IB (IAs or EEs) or that you want to write for practice. I wrote my EE in History and achieved an A; the same goes for my ToK essay.
IB Economics: I have covered the full 2022+ syllabus with students, focusing on revision, but also helping them write their commentaries.
IB History: I have previously covered and taught these topics:
• Paper 1: The Move to Global War, Rights and Protests
• Paper 2: Authoritarian States; The Cold War, Democratic States - South Africa, India, Independence Movements - Czechoslovakia, India, South Africa, 20th Century Wars: Spanish Civil War, WWI, WWII, including WWII in the Pacific
• Paper 3: History of the Americas, History of Europe
I am more than happy to cover a different area with you and I have access to teaching materials for most topics currently available within IB history.
My teaching methods involve going through past exam questions and planning essay questions, revising content through discussion and exercises and I can also provide written feedback on IAs and EEs.
Very helpful- covered everything that I requested and provided plenty of resources for further revision. Helped me to structure my work by allowing me to decide what would be covered and worked on in each session.
Thank you so much for your help! You really helped, especially with really helpful tips for paper 1.
Elizabeth gave me incredibly useful comments to fix my EE and better improve it! Thank you again!
