Hello, my name is Tina Stathopoulou. As you can see from my CV, I have many different interests ( and related experiences and certifications). I am working for over 22 years as a psychology professor at the undergraduate and graduate level at academic institutions both in Greece and US. I have taught multiple times, very different courses, from Physiological Psychology and Clinical Neuropsychology to Social Psychology, Cultural issues in Clinical settings, History and Systems, Psychology of Addictions and Family Therapy. I am also supervisor for internships and capstones of undergraduate students for more than 15 years. I am also the coordinator of a civic engagement program at the university I work, for over 7 years.
The last 6 years, I have been teaching also psychology (units cognitive, biological, sociocultural, health and human relations) in an IB school in Athens, Greece. I like interactive teaching, using different activities in class (like role playing, group discussions ect) besides the typical way of teaching with slides or videos . I know that students learn better when they engage themselves in the learning process.
My past studies also in French Literature and Piano as well as my current studies in European Civilization have advanced my critical and synthetic thinking. I am always looking forward into sharing my knowledge and skills with my students as well as learning from them!
