I am a chartered civil engineer and a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers CEng FICE. I am a part time lecturer in civil engineering at a local regional college.
I manage to make subjects more enjoyable and understandable in a fun environment by bringing everything back to the basic principles which acts as the building blocks for learning.

I have a keen interest in running and I recently ran the New York Marathon last November for a local cancer charity. I promised after completing the London Marathon in 2014 I would never run again. I got the bug I guess. I also love travelling and combining my two interests I was due to compete in the Rio Marathon in June 2020.
My other (armchair) sport is tennis and I make the annual pilgrimage to Wimbledon every middle Saturday of the tournament to queue overnight for tickets to Centre Court. This is where I get a lot of my patience from as it can take up to 16 hours to get into the grounds.
I am a very experienced maths and civil engineering tutor with over 500 hours teaching experience achieved over the last 4 years. I am a chartered civil engineer and a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers CEng FICE. I am also a part time lecturer in a local regional college.
I also specialise in Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths (STEM) subjects such as maths, physics and engineering at GCSE and A level, having tutored at least 20 students to success. I am a STEM Ambassador for schools for ICE.
What makes me a good tutor is the ability to work at the pace of the student with the patience to understand the students needs. I take a step by step approach so the student can easily follow the guidance and builds confidence.
I have successfully tutored students to GCSE and A level maths and physics and GCSE Business Studies. I take particular pride in seeing students reach their full potential in exams.
As a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers I have gained 30 years of experience in practicing civil engineering. As a part time lecturer in construction and civil engineering I can bring this knowledge and experience to the classroom. I find teaching school children maths and physics to GCSE and A level particularly rewarding as these are the building blocks for a future generation.
Amazing instructor I couldn’t ask for better.
Fantastic session with Eoin today, very productive and was really helpful. Looking forward to our next session :)
