About Me
I am a Lecturer of Economics and have previously held Lecturer positions at Royal Holloway (University of London) and Birkbeck College (University). In total, I have over 10 years of University-level teaching experience. I have the recognition by the British Academy as an academic with exceptional promise. I can teach widely in economics such as Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Statistics, Mathematics, Econometrics, Globalization, Game Theory, and Industrial Economics. I have taught at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and can also help with dissertations. I believe that students have diverse learning needs. My teaching approach is always customized to serve these needs in the best and most effective manner. To me, Learning is a Process and I strive to draw my students into this process and take ownership of it! I do that by helping my students to make sense of the "practical significance" of the learning contents- in short how the contents enable us to better understand the world around us!

The classes with Luqman are excellent. His teaching style follows a clear hands-on approach: He explains all the relevant math and diagrams through a whiteboard and combines his explanations with analogies, making it easy to follow and more importantly, to properly understand..The lessons are completely tailored to the students needs. One can tell that Luqman is an expert in his field and that he is very much comfortable teaching any type of Economics problem.

Dr. Luqman is an excellent teacher. He makes every concept feel simple and easy to understand, which allows you to truly grasp and master the content. He takes the time to ensure you fully understand each topic before moving on, building your knowledge from the ground up to give you a complete understanding.
He is also committed to your academic journey. I had an exam coming up on a very tight deadline, and he was incredibly flexible; making himself available whenever I needed a lesson, tailoring the sessions to my situation, and ensuring I was fully prepared.

Dr Luqman is a great teacher. I had a submission deadline for my MSc Thesis on September 5th and I just came across this platform and Luqman during the first week of August. Luqman understood the solid time crunches I was facing. He gave me classes almost everyday without any hesitation. He was there for me over the weekends too. I was afraid that I won't be able to meet the deadlines, but with Luqman I completed my Econometric part within a week and then he guided me over my other sections of the paper and my paper was ready to submit by 25th of August in both the formats: Word as well as LaTeX. I got positive feedback from my Supervisors when I emailed them the first draft of my paper. Now I'm waiting for my results. But I can sense that I'm going do very well in my thesis. In short, Luqman is more of a mentor than some professional lecturer who only cares about his time and money. He's a man of his words and very committed to his duties as a coach here. I'm so fortunate that I was saved by Spires and Luqman at the last moment! If this window remains open, I will come back to write another feedback after I receive my grades..
