I have a friendly, professional and relaxed teaching style. Every student and project is different, so I offer the highest degree of flexibility. I can help you to complete project work, or to prepare for exams. If you have long or short-term goals, I will design lesson plans to go at your pace and I can teach in a way that is best for you.
I aim to build every student's confidence by making sure they have a real understanding of each topic. I do this by recapping previous lessons, by setting out clear goals, and by explaining difficult topics in a clear and understandable way. I always take the time to understand your motivation and your preferred way of learning so you can get the most out of our time together.
Outside of teaching, I am interested in social causes such as mental health, education and community. I enjoy art, music, sport and cultural exchange. I am originally from the Midlands (England) and I now live in London.
I have worked for years as a freelance tutor and as a teacher in several private schools, as well as at university level in the UK. I am well educated, with an undergraduate and Master’s degree. I have more than 3,000 hours of group teaching experience, and I have given one-to-one tutoring to more than 200 adult learners, including business professionals, degree students and PhD students.
I am an expert in quantitative and qualitative research methods and study design. I specialize in quantitative data analysis using SPSS and Excel. I am familiar with academic research methods used at undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD level. I also help with report writing and proofreading of research papers.
I have worked on social science research projects in psychology, health and education. This includes research for Coventry University, several UK local councils, and the UK government Department for Education.
I also provide training for private businesses and individuals who want to learn many types of design and research software, including Excel, SPSS, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, Blender, Unreal Engine, Wordpress, Qualtrics and PowerPoint.
